2 Hours tour at Wisconsin State Capitol
Today is Thursday, June 23th of 2016. It was an elective class at English Language Institute at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Today I toured at Wisconsin State Capitol, which I have learned lot of knowledge about Wisconsin government and state capitol. At first, we saw a protest at the Capital rotunda. The guide explained to us that they were protesting because of they did not like the governor and his working principle, also it was about closing the worker union. They have protested the governor for five years. After that, we took a tour at the Hearing room, Supreme court, Senate chamber, and the Governor chamber. The guide explained about the history and purpose of each room, materials, and the history of this capitol. We finished our tour at the rooftop of the capitol which presented us 360o view of Madison. After this tour, I have obtained lots of new knowledge of Wisconsin, and also I have learned that because the governor was selected by people, so he/she should work for them instead of himself/herself.
